What We Offer

Editorial services, practiced as a craft.

Every manuscript gets the level of attention it needs. Not a flat package, but the right service applied with precision.

Developmental Editing

Your draft feels almost there but won't hold a reader past chapter three. This is the stage that fixes why.

Learn more →

Line Editing

The structure works. The sentences don't pull anyone forward yet. We sharpen the prose without touching your voice.

Learn more →

Copyediting

Small inconsistencies are quietly costing you credibility. We bring the manuscript into professional alignment.

Learn more →

Proofreading

The book is finished. It still isn't clean. This is the last inspection before it reaches a reader.

Learn more →

Academic Editing

The research is sound, but the writing buries it. We make the argument as clear as the thinking behind it.

Learn more →

Ghostwriting

You have the idea and the authority, not the time to write it. We turn your thinking into a finished manuscript.

Learn more →

Publishing Consultation

Too many paths, not enough clarity. One session to match your manuscript to the route that actually fits it.

KDP Publishing Support

Most authors don't fail at writing — they fail at uploading. We handle the formatting Amazon won't forgive.

The Process

From first draft to finished book.

Seven stages, each handed off with a clear record of what changed and why, so nothing about your manuscript's path surprises you.

I

Idea

Clarifying scope, audience, and purpose before a word is drafted.

II

Manuscript

Your complete draft, assessed for readiness and structure.

III

Editing

Developmental, line, and copy passes, tracked and explained.

IV

Formatting

Interior layout and ebook conversion, built for print and screen.

V

Publishing

KDP setup, metadata, and launch mechanics, handled end to end.

VI

Distribution

Getting the finished book into the hands of the readers it was written for.

VII

Growth

Positioning your next manuscript, and your author brand, for what comes next.

Why Greywright

The concerns we hear most, and how we answer them.

"I don't know if my manuscript is actually ready."

A full editorial assessment before we touch a single sentence, so you know exactly where you stand.

"Self-publishing options feel confusing and risky."

Plain guidance on traditional, hybrid, and self-publishing paths, with no upsell, just clarity.

"Academic formatting rules feel impossible to keep straight."

APA, MLA, Chicago, and Harvard, applied with a researcher's eye for what reviewers actually check.

"I'm afraid an editor will overwrite my voice."

Every edit is built to preserve how you sound. We sharpen the work. We don't replace the writer.

The Editor Behind Greywright

A note from the founder.

I started editing because I noticed how easily a manuscript's voice gets lost in the process, smoothed into something the author no longer recognizes as their own. Nearly five years and fifty-plus manuscripts later, that's still the line I won't cross.

Before I was an editor, I trained as a social worker, work that taught me to listen before I correct, and to treat someone's story as theirs to tell, not mine to rewrite. I bring that same instinct to every devotional, dissertation, memoir, and novel that crosses my desk.

Greywright exists so that instinct can scale beyond just me, without losing what made it worth scaling in the first place.
